D. Andrew Myers
President and Chief Executive Officer

Andy Myers joined us as President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2008 and became our CEO in January 2009. Prior to joining us, he worked at Pearson Education since 1996. His last position was as Senior Vice President, Digital Product Development for Pearson Curriculum, where he was responsible for integrating the technology teams from six preceding business units into a digital development group of 275 employees.

From August 2004 to March 2007, Mr. Myers was the Chief Operations Officer for Pearson Digital Learning, where he was responsible for setting product, financial, technical and operational strategies for that 580-employee business unit. From 2002 to 2004, he served as Vice President Sales for Pearson Digital Learning. He started with Pearson as a sales representative in 1996. Pearson Education is the education division of Pearson PLC, an international media company.

Mr. Myers holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley and a BS in finance from the University of Utah.

Robert C. Bowen
Executive Chairman 

Robert C. Bowen, became our Executive Chairman in January 2009, after serving as our CEO since June 2002.  Mr. Bowen joined us after a three-decade career of success in building market leadership and shareholder value in the education market. From 1989 to 2001, Mr. Bowen served as a senior executive and officer of National Computer Systems (NCS). In his last assignment as president of NCS Education Software and Services, he built this K-12 business into the market leader of enterprise software solutions with a 40 percent market share. NCS was sold to Pearson PLC in the fall of 2000. Immediately prior to joining us, Mr. Bowen served as a strategic consultant to leading providers of instructional and administrative technology solutions in education.

Mr. Bowen has also held senior executive positions with other leading education companies including seventeen years with McGraw-Hill. He last served as executive vice president of McGraw-Hill's Education and Training group, which included seven divisions with total revenues of approximately $350 million. Early in his career, Mr. Bowen was a high school math teacher, a coach, and a school district administrator. Mr. Bowen received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

William M. Jenkins, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer and Founder

William M. Jenkins is one of our founders, and is an expert in learning-based brain plasticity, behavioral algorithms, and psychophysical methods, as well as multimedia and Internet technology. He joined the company at inception from a position as an associate professor at the Keck Center for Integrative Neurosciences at the University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Jenkins is an author or co-author on more than 100 publications including 13 commercial software products, 46 US patents, and 12 foreign patents that underlie Scientific Learning's commercial products. Dr. Jenkins' work was recognized by Discovery Magazine in their 1996 annual Awards for Technology Innovations and most recently by the Year 2000 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award.

Dr. Jenkins earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a master's degree and a Ph.D. in psychobiology from Florida State University. Dr. Jenkins received additional training in neurophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.

Linda Carloni
Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Linda L. Carloni joined us in October 1999. Prior to joining us, she was a founder and vice president of Alere Medical Incorporated, a health care services start-up. Previously, she served as a senior licensing officer for the University of California Office of Technology Transfer; as the general counsel of Nellcor Incorporated, a medical device company; and an associate and a partner at the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP.

Ms. Carloni holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Case Western Reserve University and a law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.

Bob Feller
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Feller joined us as Chief Financial Officer in December 2008. Mr. Feller has 18 years of financial leadership and auditing experience, including positions in financial management at both Fortune 500 and startup firms. From 2006 until joining the Company, Mr. Feller served as Vice President, Finance and Administration at AdBrite, Inc, which operates an Internet-based advertising marketplace. Prior to AdBrite, he served in financial leadership positions of increasing responsibility at salesforce.com, from 2005 to 2006 as Vice President, Finance and from 2003 to 2005 as Corporate Controller and Senior Director Finance.

Mr. Feller began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen, LLP. He holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Jessica Lindl
Senior Vice President, Marketing

Jessica J. Lindl joined us in March 2007. Previously, Ms. Lindl served as vice president of marketing and product management for Riverdeep, a leading developer of educational software. Ms. Lindl held marketing management positions of increasing responsibility at Riverdeep and The Learning Company, which was acquired by Riverdeep, from 2001 through 2006. Prior to her tenure at Riverdeep, Ms. Lindl served as the director of product management for Simplexis, an e-procurement provider for the K-12 market, in 2000 and 2001 and as part of the sales management team for AT&T in San Francisco from 1995 to 1998.

Ms. Lindl holds a bachelor's degree in economics and international studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. 

David C. Myers
Senior Vice President, Sales and Services

Dave Myers joined us in January 2009 as Senior Vice President, Sales and Services. Most recently, Mr. Myers was the East Region Vice President of Sales for the digital division of Pearson Education. His team consisted of over 80 sales professionals and spanned 32 states. Prior to his RVP role, he led a smaller National team that focused on Digital Secondary products. Since joining Pearson in 1995, Dave held various additional positions throughout the Digital Sales team. Mr. Myers started his career as a bilingual elementary education teacher and holds Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Brigham Young University. 

Ron Park
Vice President, Product Development

Ron Park joined Scientific Learning in June 2009, and has over 20 years of product development experience in the software industry. Previously, Mr. Park served from 2008-2009 as founder and CTO of Arkapi Corporation, a provider of web and iPhone applications. Prior to Arkapi, Mr. Park served from 2006-2007 as VP Engineering and Products for MuleSource Inc., the leading open source SOA and ESB middleware software vendor. Prior to MuleSource, Mr. Park was Director, Fusion CRM and AIA Architecture at Oracle Corporation. Mr. Park has also held various management positions at Siebel, Ariba, and various startups in Silicon Valley.

Mr. Park holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sherrelle Jiggitts Walker
Chief Education Officer

Sherrelle Jiggitts Walker joined us as our Chief Education Officer in July 2002. She is responsible for expanding awareness among educators nationwide about how our products and services can help significantly improve student learning and achievement. She provides leadership in setting product and implementation strategy and evaluates potential partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to joining us, she served as vice president of curriculum for Pearson's NCS Learn business. Ms. Walker has more than 25 years of experience in education as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. During her extensive career in education, Ms. Walker played a leading role in the development of the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements.

She has been an adjunct professor at the University of Washington, specializing in improving teacher impact in the classroom and throughout the school. She also established one of the nation's first Internet Academies for students, and has served on various boards in education, including the Executive Council of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

Ms. Walker has received numerous awards for her role in education and in the community, such as the NAACP Cultural Arts Award, the Jefferson Award for the state of Connecticut, and the Outstanding Leadership Award for Washington State in Education. She completed her bachelor's degree in teaching at Hampton University in Virginia, and her master's degree and doctoral coursework at the University of Connecticut.
